How can we
help?

Pick a topic to see the answers. Everything you need — plus our Terms and Privacy Policy — lives right here.

Getting started

Set up your account and find your first game.

SportSync helps you find and join pickup sports games happening near you, or host your own. Basketball, soccer, tennis, padel, volleyball, running, cycling, golf, and more — set your sports and skill level, and SportSync shows you games nearby on a live map.
Yes, SportSync is completely free to use.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Download the app, create an account with your email, and follow the setup steps — pick your sports, skill level, city, and (optionally) a profile photo. You can start browsing and joining games right away.
Check your spam/junk folder first. If it's not there, you can request a new confirmation email from the sign-in screen. If you're still stuck after a few minutes, email support@sportsyncc.com and we'll help directly.

Finding & joining games

Browse the map, filter, and jump in.

Open the map or list view — games are shown based on your current location or the city you set on your profile. You can filter by sport, skill level, and distance.
Tap a game to see the details, then tap "Join game." You'll get a confirmation and be added to the game's group chat automatically.
You can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up (someone leaves the game), the first person on the waitlist is automatically moved in and notified. You'll see the game in "My Games" tagged as waitlisted until then.
Yes, from the game's detail page. If someone is on the waitlist, your spot is automatically offered to them.
When creating or filtering, you can type in a custom sport not on the default list — SportSync supports dozens of additional sports beyond the core set.

Hosting a game

Create a lobby and fill it fast.

Tap the "+" button, choose your sport, set the date, time, location, skill level, and number of players, then publish. It takes under a minute.
Yes — you can invite friends directly from the game screen, or make the game private/invite-only so it doesn't appear in public search results.
Yes, as the host you can edit the details (time, location, notes) or cancel the game from the game detail page. Players who joined are notified automatically if you cancel.
After the game, you'll be prompted to rate players and mark attendance. This keeps show-up rates accurate for the whole community.

Ratings, attendance & trust

How reputation keeps games reliable.

After each game, players and hosts can rate each other. Your average rating is shown on your profile so others know what kind of teammate/host you are.
It reflects how often you actually attend games you've committed to, based on attendance marked by hosts. A reliable show-up rate helps other players trust that you'll be there.
Repeated no-shows affect your show-up rate and can temporarily pause your ability to join new games. See the Terms of Service tab for the full no-show policy.
From any player's profile, or from a chat, you can report or block them. Blocking immediately stops them from contacting you or appearing in your games and feed.
Games happen at public venues, and you can see a player's rating and history before joining. As with any in-person meetup, we recommend telling a friend your plans and trusting your instincts — see the in-app safety tips for more.

Chat & notifications

Stay in the loop, on your terms.

Every game you join gets a group chat automatically. You can also start a direct message with anyone you follow, or create a custom group chat with multiple friends.
Go to Settings and toggle notifications for games, messages, and reminders individually.
Try opening the chat and scrolling to the latest message; this should clear it. If it persists, email us with your account email and we'll look into it.

Account & privacy

Manage your profile and your data.

Go to your Profile tab → Edit Profile, and update any of your details at any time.
In Edit Profile, you can search for a new city manually or use "Use my current location" to auto-detect it.
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see the Privacy Policy tab). This action cannot be undone.
Only what's needed to run the app — your name, email, city, sports preferences, and your in-app activity (games, ratings, messages). We never sell your data. Full details are in the Privacy Policy tab.
